About Screw Match
Screw Match is the quickest game in our sorting category and the easiest to pick up. Coloured screws are held in a glass nut assembly, and boxes sit above with holes waiting to be filled. Your job is to send each screw into the box matching its colour. When a box is full it departs and a fresh one takes its place, which keeps changing what the board needs from you.
The transparency of the glass nut is the design decision that makes it work. You can see the screws waiting behind the one on top, so you always have some information about what is coming next. That turns what could be a purely reactive tapping game into a light planning one, where noticing that three blue screws are queued up changes which box you want to prioritise.

How to play Screw Match
- Look at the boxes above and note which colours they are waiting for.
- Check the screws in the glass nut, including the ones visible behind the front screw.
- Tap a screw to send it into the box matching its colour.
- When a box is filled, it is carried away and replaced by a new box.
- Clear all the screws to complete the level.

Tips and strategy
- Read through the glass before you tap. The queued screws behind the front one tell you which colour is about to become plentiful.
- Fill boxes that are nearly complete first: clearing them brings in a replacement and changes the colours in demand.
- If two boxes want the same colour, feed the one closest to being full. Half-filling both leaves you needing twice as many of that colour.
- Do not rush the opening moves. The board is at its most flexible at the start, which is precisely when a wasted screw costs the most.
- Short sessions suit this game. It is designed around quick levels, so it works better as a five-minute break than a long sitting.
