Our position on copyright
Vzzle does not develop or host the games featured on this site. Each game is created by an independent developer and delivered through Playgama, which is a distribution platform for browser games. We embed them here with attribution and write our own editorial about them.
All games, artwork, titles, characters, music and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. We claim no ownership of any of it.
We take copyright seriously and we do not argue about it. If you are the rights holder and you want your work removed from this site, we will remove it. We would rather lose a listing than host something we should not.
Before you file
A note that may save you time: because we embed rather than host, removing a listing from Vzzle stops the game appearing on this site, but the game itself remains available wherever it is actually hosted.
If your goal is for the game to be taken down entirely, you will also need to contact Playgama and/or the developer directly. Contacting us alone removes it from here; contacting the host removes it from the internet. You are welcome to do both, and we will act on our part regardless.
How to file a takedown notice
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Notice”.
Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice must include all of the following:
- Your contact details: full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list is acceptable.
- The exact location of the material on our site: the full URL or URLs of the pages concerned, so we can find it without guesswork. This is the item most often missing, and it is the one that delays things most.
- A statement of good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement of accuracy, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
You do not need to use formal legal language. A clear email containing those six items is sufficient, and will be acted upon.
What happens next
Once we receive a complete notice:
- We acknowledge it, normally within two working days.
- We remove or disable access to the material identified, generally within five working days of receiving a valid notice, and often considerably sooner.
- We notify the affected party where one is identifiable, typically the game provider, and pass on your notice.
- We confirm to you once removal is complete.
If your notice is incomplete, we will tell you exactly which item is missing rather than simply rejecting it.
Filing a counter-notice
If you believe material of yours was removed from Vzzle by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] with the subject “DMCA Counter-Notice”, including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district in which you are located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. Where the DMCA process applies, we may restore the material after ten business days unless the complainant informs us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We do not host user-uploaded content and operate no user accounts, so there is nothing to terminate. Where a particular source repeatedly supplies infringing material, we stop listing games from that source entirely.
Misuse of this process
Please only use this process if you actually hold the rights. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
If you simply want a correction, an updated description or better attribution rather than a removal, the contact page is the quicker route, we are happy to fix those without any of the above.
