About Arrow Exit Puzzle

Arrow Exit Puzzle is the most stripped-back brain teaser in our catalogue and, level for level, the hardest. A grid is packed with arrows, each pointing in a fixed direction. Tap one and it travels that way until it either leaves the board or hits an obstruction. If it escapes, it is gone. If it is blocked, you lose one of three lives.

That makes it a pure sequencing problem. Every arrow is potentially clearable, but only from a board state where its path happens to be free, so the puzzle is not "which arrow can go now" so much as "which order lets all of them go eventually". Tapping the arrow that is obviously free right now frequently seals another arrow in permanently, and you will not discover the mistake until several moves later.

The minimalist presentation is doing real work. With no theme, no story and no decoration, there is nothing between you and the logic, and the three-life limit is what gives each tap weight. It is the game here that most rewards sitting still and tracing consequences before touching anything.

How to play Arrow Exit Puzzle

  1. Study the grid and note which direction each arrow points.
  2. Trace an arrow's path in your head: it will travel in its direction until it exits the board or hits something.
  3. Tap an arrow whose path to the edge is clear. It leaves the board and frees its cell.
  4. Tapping a blocked arrow costs one life. Three lost lives ends the level.
  5. Work out an order in which every arrow can eventually escape.
  6. Clear the entire grid to complete the level.

Controls

  • Desktop: Click an arrow to send it moving in its direction.
  • Mobile: Tap an arrow to send it moving in its direction.

Tips and strategy

  • Start at the edges and work inward. Arrows on the perimeter pointing outward are usually free immediately and cost nothing to clear.
  • Before tapping, check what the arrow is currently blocking. Removing it may be the only thing that frees a deeper arrow, or it may be holding open a path something else needs.
  • Identify the most constrained arrow first: the one with the longest path or the most obstructions. Plan the level around getting that one out, then fit everything else around it.
  • Arrows pointing into a dense cluster are your problem cases. Solve for them early, while you still have flexibility elsewhere on the board.
  • Treat your three lives as information, not currency. A blocked tap tells you something about the board, but spend them and the level ends, so verify paths mentally rather than by testing.

Arrow Exit Puzzle FAQ

How do you lose in Arrow Exit Puzzle?

By tapping an arrow whose path is blocked. Each blocked attempt costs one of your three lives, and losing all three ends the level.

Is every level solvable?

Levels are built with a valid clearing order, so a solution exists. You can still make the board unsolvable by releasing arrows in the wrong sequence, which is why planning before tapping matters.

What is the best strategy for Arrow Exit Puzzle?

Clear outward-pointing edge arrows first, and before every tap check whether that arrow is blocking something else. Work out how the most constrained arrow will escape before you commit to any moves near it.

Is it free to play?

Yes, it plays free in your browser on Vzzle with no download or account.
